Personal papers of Hale J. Posten (1904-1983), of Morgantown, West Virginia. Posten graduated from West Virginia University, A.B. (1924) and L.L.B. (1926), and married Mary Eleanor Dill in 1936. He worked as a lawyer, served in the Air Force during World War II, and was president of WVU's Alumni Association from 1968-1969. He was released from active duty as a Lieutenant Commander in 1945.
