Overview
Minutes, financial records, membership and officers lists of the local chapter of the Women's Christian Temperance Union. There is a discussion of the beginnings in Morgantown of this organization as well as a copy of its constitution and by-laws. The local chapter was involved not only in the cause of temperance but also conducted classes for the education of youth in crafts and literature and the teaching of the English language to immigrant women.
