The Women Miners Oral History Project aims to collect and preserve the life histories of women in the Appalachian region who entered the mines as protected workers in the late 1970s after decades of exclusion. Women's Radio News and Interviews on WWVU-FM, Recordings and Report
In the spring of 1985, West Virginia University (WVU) student Diana Lee Murrell produced a series of eight women’s radio shows as part of her professional project at the Perley Isaac Reed School of Journalism. The show aired weekly on WWVU-FM, which is owned by WVU. This collection contains the eight recordings and a final report written by Murrell on the production and implementation of the show.
