Scope and Contents The collection contains materials from the West Virginia University Women’s Studies Center, now called the Center for Women’s and Gender Studies. Materials include financial documents, organization records, newspaper clippings, correspondence, photographs, scrapbooks, posters, and textiles. Overview

The collection contains materials from West Virginia University's (WVU) Women’s Studies Center, renamed the Center for Women's and Gender Studies in 2012. It primarly consists of records and recordings created about the various WVU women's organizations between 1972 and 2000, including the Caucus for Women's Concerns (CWC), the Council for Women's Concerns (CWC),the Women's Information Center (WIC), the Center for Women's Studies, and the Center for Women's and Gender Studies.

Overview

Includes primarily papers on the West Virginia University Women's Centenary Project (WCP), such as exhibit material, correspondence, photographs, and research notes. Also includes records regarding women's issues and conferences. Addendum of 2012/08/14 includes one framed crayon portrait of Mary Louvinia Brown.
