Simeon Franklin Seely, ALS, Letter Regarding Raid by John Brown on Harpers Ferry
Letter of 17 October 1859, written by a merchant from Beverly, Ohio, who, on the night of the 16th arrived at Harpers Ferry as John Brown was taking possession of the armory. The letter describes the raid during the time his train was held up.
