Scope and Contents
Records of State Health examinations for Children and Preschoolers. Records include personal information, as well as other statistics such as height, weight, history of disease, how long they were bottle or breast fed, parents' occupations, and brief notes about home life. Records are restricted for general use, but access may be requested for their use in research.

Restricted Materials
The child hygiene records in boxes 46-48 are restricted until 2043, 100 years from the date of creation in 1936-1943, unless an individual grants permission to access their record or the WVRHC is given proof of death that occurred in excess of 50 years prior to the date of request. Researchers collecting summary data may submit an Access Request Form.”
