Index Card Notes: To the honorable the [sic] speaker and gentlemen of the House of Representatives. The memorial and petition of a number of the inhabitants of the county of Berkeley, humbly sheweth: that they apprehend from the public papers, and other sources of information, a petition will be preferred [sic] at the ensuing session of the General Assembly, to strike off the upper part of this county, and by uniting it with contiguous pieces of Frederick and Hampshire, it is contemplated to form a county... etc... your petitioners beg to say that 3/4 in this county live no more than 25 miles from this court house... etc. Xerox Copy.
