The memorial and petition of the subscribers, inhabitants of Jefferson respectfully represent:--The necessity of some change in the chancery courts... courts ought to be established in all parts of the state, convenient of the people... and not be compelled to go to Richmond in pursuit of justice, or to Stanton and over bad roads and mts. 100 to 300 miles.
