Index Card Notes: To the honorable the general assembly of VA. The petition of the subscribers, stockholders in the Bank of the Valley in VA., & neighborhood, and other parts of the valley, respectfully represents -- they are desirous of being connected with VA. interests and VA. institutions; in conjunction with the other subscribers pray passage of a law, increasing the capital stock of the bank of the valley in VA. $130,000 for the purpose of establishing an office of discount and deposit at the Sheperd's Town with that capital provided that such law be assented to by the stockholders of said bank.
