Index Card Notes: To the legislature of Virginia: Your petitioners, citizens of the north west part of VA., call your attention to the improvement of the road from the PA. Line by way of Morgantown and Clarksburg, through the counties of Monongalia, Harrison, and Wood, in a direction towards Parkersburg or Marietta, on the Ohio River ... of great importance to the people of Western VA ... etc. We therefore pray that a law may be passed appropriating $2000 out of the revenue of each of the said counties to be paid in 3 or 4 annual payments to be expended on this road equally in each county.
