Index Card Notes: To the honorable the general assembly of the commonwealth of Virginia: Your petitioners, inhabitants of the county of Jefferson most respectfully beg leave to represent, that they witnessed with equal surprise and the policy adopted by the legislature, in restricting the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Company to a route north of the Little Kanawha River, your petitioners feel.... that this part of the law of the last session of the assembly is detrimental to the other parts of Western VA. and should be repealed.
