Index Card Notes: To the general assembly of Virginia. The undersigned citizens of Tyler County humbly represent to your honorable body tat a few years ago the principal engineer surveyed and reported on the route for a road from Fishing Creek by Morgantown and Brandonville to Smithfield to Wheeling..... Your petitioners represent that inhabitants along said route are unable to take a sufficient quantity of stock to entitle them to the benefits of the fund for internal improvement. They pray that you pass an act appropriating from the treasury the sum of $50,000 for construction of a road on said route upon such a plan as shall be just and reasonable.
