Index Card Notes: To the people of Ohio County. The commissioners for locating the seat of justice for the county of Ohio, having fixed upon a site for the public buildings in the town of Elizabeth at the flats of Grave Creek, and reported their proceedings according to the act of the assembly authorizing the adjustment of this question... they now take leave to present the reasons which have actuated them in coming to this result...etc.
(This Petition contains a copy of the Act passed by the Va. Legislature to provide for the location of a site for the permanent seat of justice for Ohio County, and the Commissioners' names, and a copy of the Commissioners' Report.)
