Index Card Notes: To the general assembly of Virginia: The petition of the undersigned citizens of the county of Ohio respectfully represents: That at the last session of the assembly, an act passed appointing commissioners to select a sit for the court house in this county the commissioners met in the month of May last, and fixed upon a site in Elizabethtown... Elizabethtown is not the center of population, the center of the territory, or the business-town or emporium of the county.... your memorialists pray, that the act appointing the said commissioners, may be repealed, and their acts vacated.
