The Senate and House of Delegates of VA.: The undersigned citizens of Preston, Monogalia and Tyler, respectfully represent, that the engineer has commenced and completed, from the eastern boundary of Preston County, to Morgantown, the survey and location of the road from the mouth of Fishing Creek Brandonville... We therefore ask, that you make an appropriation to this work in aid of the funds raised by the people directly interested, so that the road may be immediately put under contract. Xerox Copy.
