Index Card Notes: To the honorable the legislature of VA.: the undersigned citizens of Hampshire Co., respectfully represent that a road is greatly wanted form the town of Romney, in the Co. of Hampshire, to intersect the road from Wheeling to Baltimore, at or near the town of Cumberland, MD., a distance of less than 27 miles, and that a complete said road, and erect the necessary bridges over the water courses.
