Index Card Notes: To the general assembly of Virginia: The undersigned, citizens of Brooke County, respectfully but earnestly ask, that the road laws of this commonwealth be amended in the following particulars:
1st.--Two dollar poll tax or work on roads...
2nd.--Revision of state revenue assessment...
3rd.--Provisions regulating collection of road taxes be changed...etc.
4th.--Court be authorized to have lands revalued to equalize road tax.
5th.--Court authorized to put costs of building and repairing bridges in the county levy... etc.
