Index Card Notes: To the general assembly of Virginia. The petition of the undersigned inhabitants of the counties of Frederick, Clarke, Loudoun, Fairfax, and Jefferson, respectfully represent: That they feel considerable interest in the extension of the Parkersburg road from Winchester to Berryville, in the county of Clarke, a distance of about 10 miles; and pray that it maybe made on state account... this short length is all that is wanting to complete the improved communication from the Ohio to the District...etc.
