Index Card Notes: To the general assembly of VA.: Your petitioners, citizens of Jefferson County, and many of them residing in the vicinity of "Old Furnace," the point where the B&O RR., going westward, first leaves the Potomac River, respectfully represent: The prohibition now imposed by law upon the B&O Rail Road Co. against establishing a public depot at the point just mentioned, will be productive of serious inconvenience to the citizens of a large country along the line... your petitioners pray an act be passed authorizing a public depot at said location.
