Index Card Notes: To the hon. the general assembly of Virginia: Your petitioners respectfully represent that they reside along the line, or at one of the termini of a route surveyed some years since for a graded road from Wheeling to Clarksburg and have suffered loss from the part of the state to construct said road... Your petitioners pray your honorable body to appropriate one-half the revenue derived from the counties through which the above route is surveyed, to the construction of a good graded road from Wheeling to Clarksburg until the same shall be completed...etc.
