Index Card Notes: To the Honorable the Senate and House of Delegates of the Commonwealth of Virginia: the undersigned, citizens of the County of Barbour, pray the passage of a law authorizing books opened for receiving subscriptions to the amount of $15,000.00 in shares of $25 for the purpose of constructing a Turn-Pike graded road, from Beverly, in Randolph County, by the way Phillippi, in Barbour Country, to Clarksburg, In Harrison County; and that the subscribers shall be incorporated into a company for the purpose of constructing said road in connection with the board of public works, who your petitioners pray, be authorized to subscribe $10,000.
