No. 21.] Memorial of the citizens of Alexandria and Valley of Virginia, to the General Assembly: The undersigned, citizens of Alexandria, and its vicinity, respectfully sheweth, since the B&O Railroad has been built to Harper's Ferry the trade of the Valley of VA. Has been going to Baltimore...etc...your memorialists believe that a large portion of this trade can be returned by the construction of a railroad memorialists pray that an act may be passed incorporating "The Alexandria and Potomac Railroad Company" to construct a Railroad from Harper's Ferry to Alexandria, and that verso the Commonwealth may subscribe to two-fifths of the capita; stick of the same.
