Index Card Notes: To the honorable the senate and house of delegates of Virginia, in general assembly. Your petitioners, citizens of the counties of Kanawha, Cabell, and Mason, respectfully represent to the general assembly, that the formation of a new county... containing a territory extending about 25 miles from East to West, and about the same from N. to S. it embraces the great Kanawha Valley, for about 20 miles on S. side of river, and all of Teay's Valley and the Hurricane and Mud River Valley...etc.
