Index Card Notes: To the general assembly of Virginia: the undersigned, citizens of Marshall and Ohio counties, respectfully represent...they are in dire need of a road to convey their productions to a market. Such a road would exted from a point on the national turnpike and also on the Hempfield Railroad, to a suitable point on the Pennsylvania Line--A distance of about 20 Miles. The place of intersection with the National road is about 5 miles east of Wheeling. They pray that the state may aid them in its construction. Xerox Copy Purchase. Va. State Library 10/29/74
