Index Card Notes: To the legislature of Virginia. Your petitioners, voters of the county of Harrison, respectfully represent--that they feel themselves, and people of Va. Greatly injured by the traffic in liquor and spirits...your petitioners therefore pray your honorable body to enact a law, prohibiting within the commonwealth, the sale or barter of any intoxicating liquor...and with a further provision, that the law shall not take effect until it has been submitted to the voters at the polls...etc. Xerox Copy Purchase.
