Index Card Notes: To the legislature of Virginia: Whereas, on the 1st day of June, 1852, there was an act passed the general assembly of Virginia, providing for opening and keeping in repair the county roads in the counties of Monongalia, Wetzell and Marshall, (Chapter 176 of the Acts of Assembly of 1852, for requirements)...Voters were ignorant of objections in said acts...find it oppressive, humbly ask your honorable body to repeal that portion of said act, so far as it extends to the county of Monongalia.
