Index Card Notes: To the honorable, the senate and house of delegates of Virginia: the undersigned, citizens of Ohio County, beg leave to remonstrate against changes proposed by the council of the city of Wheeling, in that part of the charter relating to license for ordinaries and places where spiritous liquors are sold...loss of revenue...etc...the undersigned desire that the sale of spiritous, vinous, and malt liquor may be subjected to regulations, but do protest against the indirect enactment of a Maine liquor law by the arbitrary negative action either by the council of Wheeling, or the county court of Ohio County.
