Index Card Notes: To the general assembly of Va.: the undersigned citizens of Marshall County, Va., respectfully ask an amendment of the road law, passed for said county, January 6th, 1854, so as to require all Males between 16-60 yrs. To work not less than 4 days--if necessary--in one year; the county court may fic the per diem of hands and allowance of supervisors; that a commissioner be elected to report as to new locations of roads, alterations, &c...all roads repaired Aug. 15th of each year...etc. Xerox Copy Purchase.
