Index Card Notes: To the general assembly of Virginia: the subscribers, citizens of Monongalia County, respectfully remonstrate against the proposition to annex a part of this county to the county of Marion. We consider it a bad policy to change the county line to suit every whim or the views of a neighborhood, and is really an absurd proposition, to take a slice off the side of a county, which is fifty miles in length, but thirteen in width.
