Three typescripts and oversize framed materials compiled by Phil Conley (1887-1979), a West Virginia historian, author, and teacher. Typescripts are from "Know Your State" in 1962 and 1963. They cover the first governor of Ohio, Edward Tiffin; the four governors of Ohio that were from West Virginia; and the Shawnee chief, Cornstalk. Framed items consist of an 1876 map of Charleston, West Virginia; a 1979 House of Delegates resolution honoring Conley; and two undated portraits of Conley. Pamphlets include publications and programs related to various events at West Virginia University in the early 1970s.
