Scrapbook with text and photographs which was prepared by the American Sheet and Tin Plate Company in order to show living conditions in Sabraton, West Virginia. There are descriptions of overcrowding, poor sanitation, and the natural surroundings. There are two charts, one showing a breakdown of the population by age, sex, and nationality, the other showing size of houses, owners, lessees, rental charge, number of occupants, and other pertinent information on housing, such as photographs which compare Sabraton housing with other industrial towns of the Northeastern United States. Includes reports of a nurse who was hired by American Sheet and Tin Plate to help the community.
