Photostat copies of personal letters written in French by and concerning the early development of the Ohio Valley area. Many letters are relating to the Charles Lisez family, including letters, 1863-1865, of Charles Lisez, Jr., a prisoner of war at Fort Delaware, Maryland. The letters have not been translated.
