The Tanganyika Project was a joint effort between the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and West Virginia University, College of Agriculture to help improve agriculture practices in East Africa. The program also included projects in Kenya and Uganda. Photographs in this collection include images of students, faculty, program events, as well as images of agriculture and structures from Tanganyika and other locations in Africa. These photographs date to the years 1961-1968. Some photographs are labeled on the back with locations, subjects, date taken, etc.
