Neal Heflin attended West Virginia University in the early 20th century and remained in West Virginia throughout his life, living in both Clarksburg and Fairmont.
Neale Family Letters (photocopies)

The first, dated 6 June 1833 from Thomas Neale to Lewis Maxwell concerns the disappearance of the children of his daughter, Julia Jackson Woodson. The second letter, dated 23 February 1864, from W.R. Neale, discusses Stonewall Jackson's death.

Includes children of Richard and Francis Neale and the descendants of their son, Thomas Neale (1774-1834) and his wife, Margaret C. Winn Neale (1775-1823), who lived in Wood County, Virginia, now West Virginia. Thomas Neale was a merchant in Parkersburg.
