Article includes a brief biography of Christian and the last poem that he wrote, "The Wonderful Free-School Tree," and is dated 28 October 1937. C. Russell Christian authored a volume of poetry titled "The Mountain Bard" that was published in 1885 in Huntington, West Virginia by the Argus Book and Job Office."
