Diary of Luke Wilcox, a Kanawha County farmer, merchant, salt well and furnace owner and operator, written in memorandum form except for scattered entries giving more information on specific subjects, such as the weather, churches and ministers, farm operation, travel, salt wells and furnaces, slaves, names of personal and business correspondents, coal, and land purchases. Lumber Companies in Tucker County, Minute Books and Other Material
Minute books of the J.L. Rumbarger Lumber Company, 1884-1910; the Condon-Lane Boom and Lumber Company, 1892-1910; and the Dry Fork Lumber Company, 1904-1910. These three companies had their central office in Philadelphia and were under the financial control of R.F. Whitmer. The collection also includes typescripts pertaining to the Dry Fork Lumber Company, William Whitmer & Sons, Parsons Pulp and Paper Company, J.L. Rumbarger Lumber Company, and the Holstein Lumber Company.
Luther Haymond, Surveyor, Diary and Surveyor's Book
A hand written journal kept by Col. Luther Haymond of Harrison County, [W.] Va., from 1830-1833, telling of his travels and experiences at the time. The journal notes Haymond’s observations while traveling by horse from Harrison County, West Virginia, to Baltimore, Maryland. There are descriptions of Baltimore, Romney, Charles Town, and other places.

A manuscript surveyor's book of first five-mile section of the Weston and Fairmont Road. Haymond was Engineer for the Weston & Fairmont Turnpike Co., 1849. The drawings show the cuts and fills to be made during the first five miles.
